What will you learn while studying biotechnology?
As part of studying biotechnology, you will acquire broad theoretical and practical knowledge of biology, chemistry, ecology, genetics and, of course, biotechnology. You will master basic disciplines such as microbiology, biochemistry and molecular biology, but you will also gain expertise in the field of modern biotechnologies such as industrial biotechnologies, nanobiotechnologies, molecular biotechnologies and more. In addition, you will learn to use instrumental methods of analysis, work with biofuels, products from renewable sources and functional foods.
How will you use it in practice?
You will learn to define scientific hypotheses, prepare and implement experimental projects, analyze and present their results. You will also gain valuable skills in the field of genetic modification of organisms, work with life processes and regulation of biological systems. You will be able to apply this knowledge to various practical problems in agriculture, pharmacy, medicine and environmental sciences.
Studying with a future perspective
On our program, you will learn technologies that are key to the development of biotechnology in the fields of agriculture, the environment, energy and industry. Your goal will be the ability to manage biological processes and use renewable raw materials, thereby contributing to sustainable development. You will also gain knowledge about the legislative, ethical and environmental aspects of biotechnology, which are necessary for effective and responsible management of biotechnology projects.
Where can you move next?
After completing the master's degree in biotechnology, you will be ready for work in research laboratories, development of new products and technologies, as well as for managerial positions in biotechnology companies. Our graduates are able to manage operations in various industries, apply their knowledge in healthcare, but also in the field of ecological and environmental innovations.
