► STRENGTHEN YOUR BIO-TEAM!
During your studies, you will not only gain a solid theoretical foundation, but also practical skills in different areas of biology. You will learn how living systems work from the molecular level to ecosystems. You'll learn how to use modern biological and chemical methods to solve research problems. You'll also make important connections between biology and other science disciplines - you'll understand the connections and learn how to use them actively.
You will be able to:
- navigate the literature and databases, retrieve and process information,
- analyse problems independently and propose solutions,
- participate in the development of scientific or application projects,
- use an interdisciplinary approach to research and innovation.
Where can you find a job?
As a graduate, you can find a job in research institutions, laboratories, government, environmental monitoring or biotechnology. Your skills will also be appreciated by teams working on regional development and sustainable solutions. In addition, you will be prepared for further studies at second level in related fields.
Graduates of Biology (1st degree) can seek employment in a wide range of departments with a biological and chemical focus in research teams, as well as in independent work with a research and technical focus (SAS, universities, health, agriculture and forestry, food industry, environment, etc.).
They are ready to meet the requirements of specialized institutions requiring field work, especially in microbiological, molecular-biological laboratories and environmentally-ecologically oriented workplaces; they will also be employed in state and local government institutions and in private companies with a research-technological orientation.
