The scientific council of the faculty (hereinafter referred to as the "Council of the Faculty") is a body of academic self-government. The appointment and dismissal of members of the faculty's Board of Directors is under the authority of the dean after the proposal has been approved by the faculty's academic senate. The chairman of the Board of Directors of the faculty is the dean ex officio. The faculty's Board of Directors annually evaluates the qualification development of the faculty's staff, which is included in the faculty's annual report. The powers of the faculty's Board of Directors are defined in § 21 of the UCM Statute.
