Students of the Gymnasium Ján Hollý have completed their internship at the faculty
Last week, the faculty became the centre of educational experiments when students of the Gymnasium Ján Hollý in Trnava took part in a series of practical activities in the field of natural sciences. During the practice the participants tried many interesting experiments.
A varied programme and practical experiences
The internship programme was designed to provide students with a wide range of knowledge and practical experience. In particular, students worked on topics such as:
- Photosynthesis as the basis of life on Earth
- Synthesis of acylpyrine
- Spectrophotometric determination of vitamin C
- Secrets hidden in DNA or a urine sample: what do they tell us?
- What does your oil reveal? Analyzing cooking oils
- Plants from the test tube: when science rewrites the rules of nature
The overall atmosphere of the practice was one of enthusiasm and curiosity. The cooperation between the faculty and the Ján Hollý Gymnasium allowed the young scientists not only to broaden their horizons, but also to try out practically how theoretical knowledge comes to life in a real laboratory environment.
The supervisors of the practice expressed their appreciation for the active approach of the students and noted that such experiences are crucial for building their interest in a scientific career. "Science opens doors to unknown worlds, and we hope that this experience inspires young people to further their studies and discoveries," said one of the educators involved in the project.
