High school students experience a week at altitude thanks to Mini Erasmus

In early April, the Faculty of Natural Sciences hosted a unique Mini Erasmus programme that opened the door to the world of higher education for high school students. The aim of the programme was to introduce young people interested in science to the real life of university students - from lectures to working in the laboratory.

For several days, high school students had the opportunity to get a glimpse of teaching and actively participate in laboratory exercises in different areas of chemistry: biochemistry, nuclear chemistry and radioecology, as well as organic and bioorganic chemistry. Under the guidance of our experts, they tried working with laboratory equipment, solved scientific problems and acquired practical skills that are a normal part of their studies at the Faculty.

In addition to the actual teaching, they had the opportunity to get to know the university environment, talk to the teachers and students and get a realistic picture of studying at the university.
