Field trip to the pharmaceutical company Saneca Pharmaceuticals a. s. in Hlohovec

On May 16, 2024, students in the bachelor’s degree programs in Chemistry and Applied Analytical Chemistry, accompanied by faculty members Assoc. Prof. Ing. Andrea Purdešová, PhD., and RNDr. Beata Vranovičová, PhD., took part in a field trip to the pharmaceutical company Saneca Pharmaceuticals a. s. in Hlohovec, which specializes in the production of finished dosage forms and active pharmaceutical ingredients.
During the field trip, students received an introductory briefing on the history of the pharmaceutical company and a detailed explanation of the production processes and the scope of work at individual departments.
This was followed by a tour of the pharmaceutical production facilities, and the students also visited the QC laboratories.
We view it very positively that during the tour we met graduates of the Faculty of Natural Sciences in the field of chemistry working in various positions.
