BIG DATA in cenTTre

The Science in cenTTra event has returned to an informal and welcoming environment again after a few years. This time it took place right in the centre of Trnava in the Špacírka beer hall. Visitors could immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the data revolution.

The lecture titled BIG DATA: Revolution in information processing, led by expert Ing. Peter Střelec, PhD. attracted students, educators and curious public.

In the digital world, gigantic amounts of data are created every day - from social media posts to sensor data in smart devices. This phenomenon, known as Big Data, is changing the way we collect, analyze, and use information. During his talk, Peter Strelec explained the basic principles of Big Data and presented practical examples of how this data can bring innovation in areas such as healthcare, economics, science and everyday life.

An interesting part of the lecture was a discussion about the challenges that come with Big Data - issues of privacy, security and ethical use of data. In addition to the technical facts, the speaker brought a lot of insights from practice, which captivated the audience and stimulated an excellent discussion after the presentation.

The event showed that the topic of Big Data is not only topical, but also crucial for our future. It also confirmed that the combination of science and informal environment can bring inspiring and meaningful meetings.
