Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Iveta Dirgová Luptáková, Ph.D. became the new rector of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava

 

Election meeting of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava today, in a secret ballot, was elected to the position of rector Assoc. Prof. Iveta Dirgová Luptáková. She received 26 votes and will lead the university from 2026 to 2030.

We are extremely pleased that the newly elected rector is our dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UCM in Trnava. Assoc. Prof. Iveta Dirgová Luptáková, Ph.D. she is at the head of the faculty and has significantly contributed to the advancement of the faculty, strengthening its reputation and consolidating its position in the academic and social environment.

She entered the candidacy with the vision of a transparent, independent and internationally recognized university. Her program is based on the principles of systematic management, improving the quality of education, supporting research and strengthening the entire academic community.

The rector was elected by the UCM Electoral Assembly consisting of members of the UCM Academic Senate and the UCM Administrative Council, while a minimum of 22 votes were required for the election.

The UCM Faculty of Natural Sciences warmly congratulates doc. Iveta Dirgová Luptáková, PhD. for the election and wishes her every success in her new role.
