Excursion of students Environmental Protection and Restoration and Applied Chemistry

On November 13, students of Environmental Protection and Restoration (OOZP) and Applied Chemistry – Environmental Chemistry module took part in a field trip to General Plastic, one of the largest PET bottle processors and PET preform manufacturers in Central Europe

During the excursion, students had the opportunity to see the modern process of PET waste recycling – from sorting to processing into valuable raw materials. They also saw the technological processes involved in the production of PET preforms, which are an important intermediate step in the production of plastic bottles.

The company's experts provided students with a detailed explanation of the ecological significance of recycling, its technical complexity, and trends in this industry. The excursion thus made it possible to link theoretical knowledge from the classroom with real-world practice.
