Inaugural lecture by Associate Professor Ing. Jana Moravčíková, PhD.

 

On October 2, 2025, at a meeting of the Scientific Council of St. Cyril and Methodius University in Trnava, a ceremonial inaugural lecture was given by Associate Professor Ing. Jana Moravčíková, PhD., from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UCM.

Topic of the inaugural lecture:

Possibilities of using the Cre/IoxP recombination system in the preparation of bio-safe genetically modified plants.

This inaugural lecture was significant not only for the Faculty of Natural Sciences at UCM, but also for the entire university. It confirmed the professional and scientific competence of Doc. Moravčíková and emphasized the importance of linking theoretical research with practical applications.

The lecture provided an inspiring view of modern biotechnologies and their contribution to a safe future for agriculture and food production.
