Presentation of the Faculty of Natural Sciences UCM in Trnava at secondary schools in Nitra 

 

On 17 December 2025, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Method in Trnava participated in the presentation of study options for secondary school students in the city of Nitra.

In the morning, a presentation was held at the Secondary Medical School in Nitra, aimed mainly at students of the pharmaceutical laboratory department. The students were introduced to the study programs of the faculty in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, biology, informatics and environmental protection and restoration, as well as the conditions of the admission procedure and the possibilities of applying graduates in practice. The presentation was supplemented by a short discussion with the students.

In the afternoon, a visit to the United School in Nitra followed, where the presentation was made for the students of the bilingual gymnasium, the Secondary Sports School and the Secondary Industrial Food School. The participants gained an overview of the study options at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the material and technical equipment of the faculty, as well as its scientific and research activities.

The presented presentations contributed to increasing the awareness of high school students about the study options at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the UCM in Trnava and encouraged interest in science majors.
