From 20 to 31 July 2026, Bc. Bianka Mindeková, a student of the 1st year of the master's degree in experimental plant biology at Palacký University in Olomouc, worked in the FPV UCM laboratory. She completed the internship on her own initiative and outside of compulsory study activities, with the aim of gaining new practical experience in a different academic environment.

Student Bc. Bianka Mindeková analysed selected nutritional and quality parameters of oat grain under the guidance of our colleague from the Institute of Biology and Biotechnology (ÚBB) doc. RNDr. Michaela Havrlentová, PhD. Her work included the preparation and homogenization of samples, the preparation of solutions and the evaluation of the results.

The internship was also an opportunity for professional discussions and comparison of the study of natural sciences in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Such experiences confirm that FPV UCM is an open space for students who want to go beyond their studies and actively engage in research.
