results and awards

April 8, 2026 | Banská Bystrica

On April 8, 2026, the next edition of the Student Science Conference (ŠVK) took place in Banská Bystrica, jointly organized by three faculties: Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics of the University of Konstantin Filozof in Nitra.

This year's edition recorded a record number of participants - up to 109 students from five Slovak universities took part in the conference, who presented the results of their scientific work in a total of 9 sections. The conference included sections focused on biology, ecology and environmental studies, biotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, geography, informatics and professional didactics, as well as a special section for doctoral students.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences of UCM in Trnava is proud that its students have achieved exceptional results. As many as 8 FPV UCM students have won the award - we heartily congratulate them and wish them every success in their further studies and research work.

We thank all the members of the organizing committee from all three participating faculties. For FPV UCM in Trnava, the conference was organized by Mgr. Dominika Vešelényiová, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Ing. Jana Jurinová, Ph.D., Ing. Eva Ürgeová, PhD. and Assoc. Prof. RNDr. Zita Tokárová, Ph.D.
