Trnava morning

 

On 17 May 2025, the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava joined the popular city event Trnava Morning. The Faculty of Natural Sciences, together with the Faculty of Philosophy, presented its activities, where visitors were introduced to interesting scientific projects and researches related to Trnava.

The faculty offered visitors a glimpse into the fascinating world of microorganisms and biotechnology, where through the project entitled "Wonders of Biotechnology: Microorganisms, Enzymes and Bioplastics" it was possible to present how even the smallest forms of life can contribute to the solution of big problems.

Those interested could see micro-organisms under a microscope, learn about the process of growing plants in laboratory conditions (in vitro), or find out more about the production and use of bioplastics and enzymes that help clean up the environment.
