We respectfully remember Prof. dr. h. c. RNDr. Jozef Čižmárik
It is with deep sadness that we received the news of the death of an important Slovak scientist, pharmaceutical chemist, educator and university official prof. dr. h. c. RNDr. Jozef Čižmárik, who significantly influenced the development of pharmaceutical sciences in Slovakia with his scientific, pedagogical and social activities.
With the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, he was connected not only through several joint scientific activities, but also as a long-time member of the UCM Scientific Council.
In 2012, the UCM awarded him the highest academic award - the honorary title of Doctor honoris causa - for his extraordinary contribution to the development of science, education and pharmaceutical research.
We express our sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues and everyone who had honor to work with Professor Čižmárik.
