The Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava is preparing a Welcome Day for first-year students. The event will take place on October 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the faculty premises at Námestie J. Herdu 2, in room S01 on the ground floor.

The Welcome Day is an opportunity to get to know the faculty before they start their studies, get important information and meet people who will be part of student life. The program is designed especially for freshmen who want to better orient themselves in a new environment and start their university journey with more confidence.

What awaits you?

During the event, students will learn more about:

•  study and study programmes,

• the opportunities offered by the faculty,

• life at the FPV UCM,

• student activities and opportunities;

• science, research and innovation at the faculty.

The Welcome Day will also include a meeting with students, teachers and other members of the academic community. This will give first-graders the opportunity to ask questions, make new contacts and meet people who can help them start their university studies.

The Welcome Day will also bring the opportunity to experience the atmosphere of the faculty, look into the world of natural sciences, computer science and modern technologies, and learn more about what awaits students during their studies. And maybe there will be a small surprise.
