Graduate profile and educational goals
A graduate of the second degree in Applied Informatics will receive a comprehensive education focused on modern IT technologies, mobile and computer networks, processing of large volumes of data and web technologies with an emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence in human-computer interaction.
During his studies he will learn:

formulate hypotheses, design experiments, verify their results and analyze the obtained data,
-
critically apply knowledge from applied mathematics, the architecture of fixed and mobile networks, the design of parallel computing in the environment cloud computingu or big data processing,
-
create web interfaces and applications for social networks or computer games,
-
choose and effectively use the most appropriate methods and technologies of artificial and computational intelligence.
The graduate will be ready to carry out research and development in the field of networking of heterogeneous systems, including parallel computing and corporate web interfaces. He can find his own solutions to problems and creatively implement new approaches in various application areas.
In addition to technical knowledge, he will also gain awareness of the legal, economic, social and ethical contexts of the IT profession. He/she will thus be ready to continue his doctoral studies and build a scientific career, or immediately get involved in professional practice as a member of a software team or its leader.
The ability to independently search for and use foreign language professional literature is also a matter of course, which is the basis of lifelong learning and professional growth.
A graduate of the Applied Informatics program can be employed as a member of a creative team as well as a senior worker in various industries, from industry, transport and banking, through healthcare and education, to the public and private sectors. Wherever it is necessary to use modern IT solutions and informatics applications, it will find its place.

Requirements for applicants, method of selection and recommended personality requirements
Number of students admitted to the study program: 30
The basic condition for admission to study a second degree study program is completion of a first degree study program (according to §56 paragraph 2 of Act No. 131/2002 Coll. on Universities and on Amendments and Supplements to Certain Acts).
The admission procedure takes place without an entrance exam.
When being admitted to the chosen study program, the fact is taken into account whether the applicant completed the study program at FPV UCM in Trnava or at another university of a related field. The result of the bachelor's study is evaluated during admission to the master's study program. In the case of applicants from other faculties and completing a bachelor's degree in related fields, the composition of completed subjects in the first degree is also evaluated. In the case of completing a bachelor's degree in a related field, the FPV admissions committee may require admission exams. More informationhere.
