PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport in Trnava operates on chip cards. The card can be obtained at the bus station, directly opposite the taxi ranks.

Important lines:

To Námestie Jozefa Herda, where the Rector's Office, dean's offices, study departments are located, from the railway station there are public transport lines No. 1 and No. 12 - the stop where you get off is called Špačinská cesta.

• On foot from the railway station you can go to the railway station in the town of Páčinka cesta. From the station + by car from the motorway.

As you will quickly discover, you will need other modes of transportation besides public transport. Most of the time, you have to rely on your own two feet or cheap taxis. One ride usually costs 2,50 €, some taxi companies also give an ISIC discount.

Bolt scooters are a popular mode of transport. Their main advantage is the price. You pay fifty cents to get on and off the scooter and ten cents is added for every minute, which in most cases is less than a taxi fare. There's also the eco-friendly aspect and the advantage of electric scooters that charge at night.

In Trnava, many cycle paths have been added in recent years, making it easy to get around by bike. If you commute, you can bring your own bike and park it in the bike-parking house located between the railway and bus stations. You can also use bike-sharing: https://arboriabike.sk/

UCMlunch tickets can be purchased in each canteen or in the cafeteria. When buying a lunch ticket, you need to have a valid ISIC card with you.

In addition to the lunch menu, they also provide snacks in the form of paninis, toasts or baguettes and, of course, a variety of sweets and sweetened and unsweetened drinks.

All communication with the faculty or university is done via ucm-emails: you write from your ucm-email to another ucm-email. You do not write from private emails, and you do not write to private emails. Forwarding an email to another address is blocked.

Your university email is IDO@ucm.sk. Your password is your birth number without the slash. A user-friendly alias is also created for each email - priezvisko#@ucm.sk, e.g. kovac1@ucm.sk. You can find it in AIS under Personal details (left menu)

Using these two email addresses are simple:

Email can be accessed through the webmail interface at https://outlook.office.com or you can install the Outlook app - there is also a mobile app.

We recommend that you register a mobile authentication, which you will need for self-service password resets. If you do not want to provide your phone number to Microsoft, you will always need to request a password reset from CIKT via servis@ucm.sk and respect their business hours.

Each year department and degree program has its own email address. Whatever is sent to the year or department email address will be forwarded to each duly enrolled student in the year or department at their ucm-address.

1APIN = freshmen APIN; BcD = bachelors full-time; 21 = the code from AIS that will follow you through to the end of your degree.

The year email changes during your studies depending on your current year and degree. For example, full-time BT students have the following year emails in sequence during their studies :

You can quickly and easily generate a school attendance certificate via the government website PotvrdenieOnavsteveSkoly.sk. You enter your personal identification number and it will generate a PDF confirmation for you. This confirmation is fully sufficient for your parents' employer's needs.

If you need a confirmation for the Employment Office, please contact the study department, as such confirmation must contain some additional information.
